As with anything worth obtaining in life, weight loss requires effort and determination. So with that being said, I’m going to offer you some rules to achieve the maximum weight loss you want. As I mentioned earlier, this is not going to be one of those weight loss for idiots reviews. I haven’t read the book and although it looks good and has garnered some great reviews this is a weight loss for idiots diet that you can take to the bank. The book can help, but all you need are the following rules. Now in this case, rules are not meant to be broken, so don’t :) You can bend them if you like, but obviously the best weight loss results will come from sticking as closely as possible to the rules as possible.

Water, water everywhere
Your first rule is to drink only calorie free liquids. So for the fastest weight loss in this fat loss 4 idiots program is to drink water and green tea. Green tea and weight loss are 2 powerful allies. You can’t rely solely on green tea for weight loss but it is a great addition to your arsenal. So no alcohol, milk (except for cereal), juices, pop etc. Only drink calorie free beverages. You’re allowed black, unsweetened coffee.

Measure your success
This rule applies to 2 areas of your weight loss efforts. For extreme weight loss weigh or measure out everything you eat. Just do this for one month and you’ll then be able to eyeball appropriate serving sizes. Our weight loss problems are primarily the result of too much food, too large serving sizes and too much of the wrong food. So weigh your food and eat proper portion sizes not giant sizes. Also, weigh yourself everyday, with one caveat. DO NOT expect weight loss results every day. Some days you may gain a pound or 2 and this DOES NOT mean you are failing. Multiply your weight loss success

So 1500 is the number of calories you should try and consume as a minimum. To make sure you don’t eat too many calories make sure that you multiply your IDEAL weight by 12 to get the maximum number of calories that you should eat. In this case 12 x 150 = 1800 calories. That’s your maximum.

Eat the ground
This might sound weird but it’s not. This is one of those weight loss tips that will have you eating food as close to the ground as possible. So when you think of earth what do you think of? Fruits, vegetables, salads etc. These foods should fill your plates. For example, 1 cup of salad greens is around 10 calories plain. 1 cup of boiled ground beef is 330 calories and 1 cup of cooked oatmeal is about 150 calories. So eat the ground.

Rest on the Sabbath
On 1 day per week allow yourself to eat whatever you want and don’t worry about measuring it. But be reasonable. Don’t allow yourself to be a glutton or you could damage your long term success with this weight loss for idiots diet program. If you want a cheeseburger have a cheeseburger, but don’t have the biggest you can find and the largest serving of fries and the largest milkshake. Let reason reign triumphant.
