The Ephedra Weight Loss Scam & Harm

Today I’m going to discuss ephedra weigh loss and especially the ephedra weight loss scam and the harm that ephedra weight loss can cause to you physically. Now before I get to that, it is important that ephedra can work in boosting your metabolism and therefore increasing your weight loss. I would be lying to you if I didn’t own up to the fact that I have used ephedra weight loss supplements in the past. However, that was when I was young and foolish and didn’t appreciate the long term harm that ephedra can cause to your health. When you’re young and foolish, you think that you will live forever. That you’re invincible.

So, with that out of the way, I want to let you know that there aren’t any ephedra weight loss products that I can recommend, so please don’t write to me asking for which ephedra weight loss pills I used. It was years ago and I honestly don’t remember. And if I did, I wouldn’t tell you anyway. Ephedra is bad for your health. End of story.

Now folks are getting clever and smarter about using ephedra or other similar stimulants. Now they’re putting in Bitter Orange which is another similar stimulant that will have similar affects both on weight loss but more importantly on your long term health. I remember when I was using ephedra for weight loss I was constantly on edge and had an overwhelming sense of anxiety. It was very unpleasant.

Ephedra side affects cause things like anxiety and shortness of breath as well as thirst, nervousness, dizziness, headache, insomnia, sweating, vomiting and a host of other relatively “modest” side affects. More disturbing is the fact that ephedra has been associated with irregular heartbeat, seizures, heart attacks, stroke and death. All this for just a fraction better short term weight loss. Folks, the science suggests that ephedra used as a weight loss supplement will help you gain an additional < 1kg per month weight loss. This is hardly noticeable and the long term affect is practically non-existent.

So to lose maybe, if you’re luck and using ECA stacks (ephedra with caffeine and aspirin), an extra 2 pounds of fat per month, you’ll put your body and health at risk? It’s not worth it. Don’t do it. I know that ephedra weight loss is heavily promoted but it will harm you sooner than help you, even though it is a natural herb, doesn’t mean it’s safe.

There are safe ways to lose weight that don’t put your health at risk. And these safe weighs to lose weight are what you should be focusing on. Don’t look for short cuts, like with anything in life worth getting, short cuts often end up in dead ends and you’ll find it taking you longer than if you stuck with the tried and true. Folks, diet and exercise are the key. Just eat sensibly, weigh all your food if you need to to make sure you don’t overeat and get some gentle exercise as much as you can.

But always remember that for long term successful weight loss diet and the food you put in your mouth is the King of this royalty. Exercise is the Queen, but remember that a King can rule a Kingdom with out a Queen and so can you rule your weight loss efforts and get to that trim and lean physique you deserve with nothing more than dedication to a good diet and food control.
