Today we’ll talk about new weight loss. And what exactly does it mean? Well, I’m going to offer you some new weight loss ideas that will probably seem old and perhaps archaic, but I’m going to try and shine new light on them so that if this is your first attempt at losing weight or if it is your hundredth attempt to lose a hundred pounds I hope that you’ll be jazzed and energized to get out there and do it, and do it for good this time. There are new weight loss products coming out all the time and some of them are very good and some of them are no better than scams. But how can you tell? I hope to offer you some help in that department too.
Now many people can lose a ton of weight each week. Obviously the heavier you are to begin with the more weight you can lose and the quicker you can lose weight. I know that it has been suggested that 1 to 2 pounds of weight loss per week is ideal but that’s bogus. I personally have been able to lose over 5 pounds a week and I only had 25 pounds to get rid of. I’ve seen obese friends lose a pound a day and more in the beginning of their weight loss programs. However, if you want serious results with weight loss, you need to make a serious effort.
And I know everybody wants their new weight loss drug or new weight loss pill or some other such new weight loss miracle potion. But friends I’m telling you, if you are relying on outside influences to lose weight you will end up a loser down the road. As soon as you can’t or as soon as you have to stop those drugs, pills or potions the sooner the weight starts creeping back up. What you need is a new weight loss program, and I’m going to give you one for free. This free weight loss program is not fancy but it works. Now, I’m not saying that some folks don’t need help with weight loss surgery to get a boost, and if you are morbidly obese that might be in the cards for you. But please, try this free weight loss regimen first. It’s worked for me and it’s worked for others. I’ve had friends lose up to 80 pounds on this and I know you could lose more if you wanted.
So here are new weight loss tips that work. You are not going to eat more than 1900 calories if you are a man and you are not going to eat more than 1500 calories if you are a woman. This is how you do it. You measure everything before you eat it and you carry a journal or little notebook with you everywhere you go so you can keep a running tally of your calorie intake as the day progresses. On these new weight loss solutions, you can eat whatever you want, but these are them rules. NO calories in liquid form. You will drink water, black unsweetened coffee, black unsweetened teas and herbal teas. Your breakfast will be no more than 500 calories. Your lunch will be no more than 500 calories and your dinner will be no more than 500 calories. If you are a man you can have a mid-morning snack of no more than 200 calories and a mid-afternoon snack of no more than 200 calories. If you are a woman, then you can have a mid-morning snack of no more than 100 calories and a mid-afternoon snack of 100 calories IF both breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner are limited to no more than 400 calories each.
If you find you are hungry then eat more calorically empty foods. Think salads, celery, raw vegetables etc, and limit calorically dense foods like pasta and breads and meat. Weigh everything or measure everything that goes into your mouth that contains calories. Yes, this is hard, but the results are phenomenal. And hey, I’m not asking you to run 10 miles every day. In fact you don’t have to do any exercise, though I recommend it in whatever form you can. Take the stairs, walk around the house, walk outside for a bit. The key is diet. You need to go into overdraft on your bodies metabolic bank account. And you need to do that everyday until you are the weight you want to be. And it will take you a while. You didn’t get large overnight so don’t expect to get lean overnight either.
Our biggest problem is that we generally eat way too much food. For example a 100 calorie snack is a small slice of bread OR 1 tablespoon of peanut butter OR 1 medium banana. 5oo calories can look like 1 cup of dry oatmeal with cooked with 1 cup of soymilk and a tablespoon of honey OR 2 cups cooked elbow pasta with 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce. This is not a lot of food folks. It will satisfy you and get rid of your hunger, but we need to reacquaint ourselves with proper portion size and portion control.
