I’ve spoken about fasting weight loss before. My post on fasting for weight loss was a popular one so I thought I’d add more about my thoughts regarding fasting weight loss and offer some weight loss tips for easy and fast weight loss. As most of you know, I’m a huge fan of diet for weight loss. In fact I’d say that dieting to lose weight is probably the most effective strategy as compared to exercise or working out. Over the last 20 years or so of helping people lose all the weight they want, I have come to believe that 80% or 90% even of weight loss success comes down to diet.
You can’t out run a bad diet as I like to say. Taking it to the next level from dieting is of course fasting weight loss strategies. And this is what I want to help you with today. But first I want to set some ground rules when it comes to fasting for extreme weight loss. Firstly, don’t fast for more than a week at a time and make sure you are getting some electrolytes and enough fluids each and every day. This is why I am a fan of the Master Cleanse diet also called the lemon juice diet. Water especially, is key to stoking your metabolic engine. So be sure to drink plenty and as much as you like. Don’t aim for a specific quantity.
Now lately, I’ve become a huge fan and proponent of cycling your calories or using cycling in your diet. By this I mean intermittent fasting weight loss strategies. Depending on your goals, fasting for 2 or 3 days a week up until dinner is a terrific strategy to getting shredded in 60 days or less. Here’s how I do it. On Mondays and Wednesdays and also Thursdays if I’m looking to get cut real quick, I’ll eat nothing until dinner at around 6pm. If I’m particularly struggling with hunger, which is not often, I’ll do juice fasting weight loss on these days. And on those days I’ll allow myself a glass (8 ounces) of freshly squeezed orange juice to help my weight loss efforts. I’ll allow a glass of orange juice for breakfast (mid-morning really) and one for lunch and that’s it. If I’m particularly motivated, I’ll just drink water and allow myself a couple of cups of coffee for breakfast. Black with a couple of sugars.
These fasting weight loss tips will have you lean in less than 90 days and depending on how much weight you have to lose, I can get cut within 30 days following this fasting weight loss strategy for the month. And honestly folks, it’s not that hard. I don’t often get hungry on fasting weight loss days and if I do I drink a couple of cups of water. If your life is full and has purpose you can busy yourself with work or exercise to take your mind off hunger.
Now along with these fast weight loss tips, I should also mention that I allow myself to “binge” one day a week. You notice how I choose weekdays for fasting weight loss? Well that makes it easier to follow so that on the weekend, usually Saturday or sometimes Friday I can allow myself to “gorge”. I put that in quotes because you don’t want to stuff yourself and feel sick, but you want to relax. If you figure that you need 2000 calories per day to keep your weight constant, then it’s okay on a day like your cheat day to eat 50% more or 3000 calories in our example.
Folks, fasting weight loss is extreme weight loss and I’ve seen diligent and committed friends lose up to 7 pounds per week like this for a few weeks. It can be done and it’s just another post about a rapid weight loss diet for my loyal readers
